Hehe me too!! (First post on Lemmy too…no more lurking since I’ve found “my people”!)
My obsession at the moment is with internet privacy and reducing data available to insidious ad companies….
But my usual staples are always Star Wars (I love it all - don’t get into the arguments/opinions about it either as I just love it all) Cycling (MTB and gravel cycling as well as bike packing) and Aviation/Aerospace (it’s my job too) ☺️
Then I think you’re ready to make the full jump to FOSS. I was into Linux when I was a little pre-teen, and I’ve only gotten more into it as big data hungry mega corporate induced culture preyed upon us.
I still use Twitch and Discord but I finally deleted my data on Instagram, Twitter, Reddit and rn I’m working on doing the same for Microsoft and Google. Goodbye Android.
Absolutely however I do not own a person computer currently as I have to use one for work - when I did own one until recently I usually ran Manjaro on it. I started tinkering with Linux back in the days of early Ubuntu as an alternative to Windows XP :)

I worked IT for a while, making sure I could run Linux on my work computer was a priority in every job.
Unfortunately I don’t work in IT - Aerospace Engineer and don’t get a say in IT and operating systems generally!
