I haven’t been watching much in terms of actual shows for a good while, then while listening to a podcast a host casually mentioned they had rewatched Chernobyl, how it still holds up, that there’s a reason it got as much acclaim as it did, etc. So I thought I’d give it a go and wow, loved it (still one episode left to watch).

Had me thinking, what else have I missed out on? What are some “absolute cinema” TV shows that still hold up and and are considered must watch?

Loki is a really good show about time travel, power of narratives, power structures, destiny, bureaucracry, and multiverse. Very compelling characters and the fun mood make this a great watch. Best Marvel show by far. Even if you don’t like Marvel, give this a chance.

Loki was meh. The finale absolutely redeems Loki but to watch everything to get to that i don’t know if it’s worth it.

I’m a huge marvel fan so I’ll watch anything but none of the TV shows have been great. Wandavision is probably the best show they have. Wait I forgot about daredevil. Daredevil 3 season Netflix run A+ can’t recommend enough. Disney 2 seasons. Extremely slow burn. Something is just missing from it. Season 2 is better but it’s still not on par with what Netflix did

I’m not a huge Marvel fan, but I really enjoyed Legion. Pretty much all the content warnings, though.

I did enjoy Legion but the trippier parts were too much for me. Maybe like ¼ of the show was me scrolling on my phone, waiting for the bit to end.
