IDK, my housemates printer required literally 0 setup to work with my linux VM and I’ve never had an issue. When I print from windows it’s a pain in the butt sometimes.

I use WSL for cli stuff and I have Mint running in a VM for desktop stuff. I briefly tried dual booting but it was a pain in the ass and I ended up rarely switching to the Linux partition in practice.
So we’re still better off without them.
You don’t think the massive amount of repetitive jokes and reposts and overall shitty attention whoring content was a problem on Reddit?
We need fedi to go mainstream to deny corpo trash profits.
Why? Who cares if we don’t have to interact with them? Becoming mainstream was the downfall of Reddit.
Agreed. Look what Reddit turned into. Better to have fewer but higher quality comments than a sea of the same tired jokes and ancedotes over an over again.
4 TB over my home network. 800GB download from a external server.
No I don’t but there’s no reason to give them the option at all. There’s no positives to votes being public.
The post is about giving everyone the ability to see how everyone else votes on individual posts/comments. For instance if you downvoted this I would be able to look it up somehow and see it was you as opposed to it being anonymous. I don’t care if I get downvoted but there’s a lot of wackjobs on the internet who might use that as a reason to harass someone.
Right but we don’t need to give them the tools to do it even more.
This is about seeing what posts you voted on. Like if you upvote a post that someone disagrees with for whatever reason or you downvote someone’s post they could see that and go after you for it. Regardless of why you did it.
The problem with seeing people’s votes is you don’t have context for why they voted that way. Did they upvote because they agreed, or because they thought it was an engaging counterpoint in an interesting discussion? Maybe they just thought it was funny or wanted the thread it was part of to be more visible. Someone looking at your votes could choose whatever perception they want if they decide to go after you for it.
Easier to just ignore downvotes the instance I’m on doesn’t show them and it’s great. If someone can’t be bothered to explain how I’m wrong I don’t care about their opinion anyway.
Yeah, there’s no need for that weird parasocial shit.
Isn’t volleyball a team sport? How are his teammates okay with being on a team with a child molester? How are his opponents okay with playing in a game against him? Even if there’s no official mechanism, couldn’t all the players just be like “Nah, fuck that, he goes or I do”. The only time I’ve every knowingly ran into one I couldn’t have been civil towards them if I wanted to let alone actually work together on something.
You might as well just put every criminal in jail for life, or just kill them straight away.
Just the child rapists is fine with me. There’s no reforming that.
Why can’t he continue his life?
Because he raped a child. The only olympic event he should have been allowed to participate in was competitive shooting, as a target.
Well actually, If you set aside her age it wouldn’t be rape at all, since it’s statutory rape.
Nothing you are saying mitigates this in any way. She was 12. None of the shit leading up to it should have happened either. If anything that makes it worse.
Maybe they should make a new phone thats desirable then. I’m still running on a phone from 2016 because there’s no modern one that wouldn’t lose me functionality that I use all the time. Anything I buy would be a downgrade.
