What is this “reading” you’re referring to and what even is “an article” anyway?
Give me fish or give me death ><>
It makes my hand happy.
I love how easy it is to replace things on System76 machines. They have a website which shows the internals and repair/replacement process for every model and generation of their computers.
Partly because of you I ended up returning the Dell XPS 13 and getting a System 76 Lemur Pro instead ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ💻
I have to say that I’m unreasonably excited to get this Lemur Pro.
Yep it’s the MX Ergo by Logitech. I prefer the thumb style tracks for whatever reason. I’ve been using them for decades.
Pop_OS has a firmware updater built in! Already updated all of it.
Definitely doesn’t feel that way for me. Might have to do with hand shape/size/thumb length/etc…
Dell laptops like the XPS 13 and 15 are recommended on many compatibility lists including the official Ubuntu certification page. Not only do they look fantastic but they are highly compatible with Ubuntu which is what drew me. The whole point of my purchase was compatibility remember.
I’ll just go with the 1080p/60 version for now. Maybe I can hack something together in WINE down the line. Heh it rhymes.
I’ve been a MX Ergo user for a while now. They’re incredibly comfortable. Logitech trackballs have been my main input device for decades.
I love my trackballs. I’ll never move on, dammit! (⌐■_■)
Sometimes when people are given suggestions for things to try they actually take them into consideration. I know this is highly usual these days as people only want to constantly argue online, but I legitimately take advice to try new things.
Some people in that thread gave me ideas to have less headaches with Linux, so I’m going to try them out.
What distro did you end up using?
I ordered a docking station to provide a HDMI 2.1 port and some more USB options along with an Ethernet port.
Yep glad I’m able to return it!
I ended up getting a System 76 laptop. The Lemur Pro to be exact.
