Personally I would prefer a subscription instead of ads. I hate ads. I’d rather pay directly.
If Bluesky has an algorithm, I haven’t seen it. I get chronological posts from the accounts I follow with an occasional and subtle suggestion to follow other similar accounts. Many of the accounts I follow are news outlets, journalists, civic leaders, etc. Some of the accounts I followed on Twitter are finally joining Bluesky while less than a fraction of those are on Mastodon.
Bluesky does it even better IMO. Their default feed is a chronological feed of all the people you follow and you can add additional feeds that have their own algorithms (You can even create your own either with simple logic through something like skyfeed.app or code it entirely from scratch). This makes it much easier to choose what you want to see compared to Mastodon.
The feeds are the strongest feature Bluesky has.
Wow, I wouldn’t have thought that Apple Mail is more popular than Gmail.
I don’t see myself ever giving up cheese.
Never say never. I thought the same for some time.
There are other ways to increase company value that do not necessarily result in Q/Q / Y/Y profit increases.
Can you name some examples? I’m not very familiar with economics.
I agree. And if you want some level of convenience and some level of privacy I think Apple is the way to go.
For example I have the skills to use GrapheneOS but I just don’t want to deal with it and I want to still be able to use NFC payments. So iOS is the next best thing.
And who expects cinematic masterpieces? Most gamers skip the cutscenes and all dialog lol

No, you are correct. If you are the only person accessing the service you don’t need to open any ports since you access your network via Wireguard anyway.
You count as active if you post, comment or vote.
I’m not even a parent and I don’t want this. It’s just an unnecessary mechanic to punish casual players for no reason at all. It doesn’t add anything to the game.
Yes, I don’t like mechanics that happen while the game is turned off. It’s unnecessary. I keep reading from players who are defending this mechanic that it’s so easy to get several days or almost a month of water supply in just a few hours of gameplay. But if it’s so easy to get the water why not just remove the mechanic? They wouldn’t even notice and everyone else wouldn’t have to play with this FOMO mechanic.
This looks so cool and I love that it is PvE but this water level mechanic kills the whole game for me. I don’t want to play a game that makes me lose my progression when I’m not actively playing it. If they change this I will consider buying it but the developers seem to be pretty hellbent on keeping this mechanic unfortunately. Maybe they will change their tune in a few weeks when they notice that they can’t keep players around.
It tries to install the associated package when given a path to a configuration file.
Didn’t know about Pipeline. Looks interesting.
Then you misunderstood me because I know that Bluesky is not part of the fediverse. With my comment I was trying to say that I would be happy to be able to communicate solely in ATProto apps with one account instead of with multiple accounts in ActivityPub.
Why did you write your comment as an answer to my comment then if it’s not directed at me?
I never said that Bluesky is part of the fediverse for example and the rest of your comment seems to me like it should be directed to OP or devs of ATProto and not me.
Yes and that’s why I don’t understand their comment and even less why it gets downvoted. They seem to complain about something to me that I didn’t even mention and the topic was not about combining ATProto with ActivityPub or whatever.
Maybe relate wasn’t the right word. English isn’t my native language.
How does your comment relate to my comment?
That would be ideal, true.
