Healthcare providers in general, but doctors especially have a sense of duty to their patients regardless of work conditions which are often unacceptable for both. One workaround I’ve seen mentioned for doctors in particular is to continue working, but stop making notes in the EHR or submitting billing which tends to get admins attention real quick without impacting patient care.

Listen to your doctor and go to the hospital. Infections from tooth decay and sinus infections can go south pretty quickly if they aren’t addressed appropriately. Doctors will treat people outside of the hospital whenever possible, if they are telling you to go to the hospital, you should listen. If your body could fight this infection without help, it would have knocked it out already.

Any community is a sum of it’s members, good bad, or otherwise. I think there will be a wave of us Reddit refugees, but also word is going to spread to other places like Meta and hopefully bring in even more people. Getting people sorted into servers that are going to be able to handle the load, or even better getting them to host their own servers is going to be the way to go. Sorry if we’re stumbling all over your garden in the meantime.
