I recently had the realization that I’ve just been putting up with Windows bullshit forever recently when a friend asked me for help with their work PC. They’re a Mac user, but they just started working from home and have been provided a Windows laptop. They sent me a bunch of rushed texts when their headset stopped working. They changed the default audio device after they launched the program. Which never works on a Windows PC. I never have that problem because I have just learned to live with it, I don’t even think about it anymore.

Now I’m really starting to notice all the little things I put up with from Windows on my machine. To be fair my Linux machine is just as janky but at least I can say I made it that way. I keep telling myself to ‘tidy’ my Linux machine up but I never do, it still plays games just fine. Usually. If I didn’t fuck with it.

I have a sinking feeling it won’t be a safe voyage. Dollars to donuts the IDF sinks it and claims that it was actually a weapons shipment headed to Hamas and not humanitarian aid for Palestinians.

Part of me thinks it’s propaganda not bargaining power. On several occasions the IDF has dropped bombs on or shot the hostages accidentaly wontonly. The message Hamas is maybe trying to send is that the IDF doesn’t care about saving the hostages. The IDF just want to eradicate the Palestinians. Then again I’m halfway around the world so what do I really know?

The idea that a group of men with superior social power forcing men with inferior social power to fight and die for them seems to be very patriarchal to me. Al Jazeera has a stronger bias than most but considering that it’s essentially state media they are a lot more objective than I expect they would be. It’s not a trash news source but it definitely takes more scrutiny than say DW news.

Absolutely, but they weren’t arraigned as far as the article suggests. Also the language of the article is really suggestive. Intolerance can not be tolerated, and perhaps the police coming around to have a chat with intolerant people is a good thing. It’s concerning it happened but yeah, doubtful that’s the full story.
