Reminds me of what the allies did in WW2. From halftracks with loudspeakers and firecrackers to rubber tanks and empty tents. Decoys can be very effective, hope they are working well.

Given the ending, I persume it was “competition” see who can do it faster, that or how to fly with a second drone, for mission redundancy.
