I agree but they seem to still be the generation that gets beat up by the media, though gen Z is starting to come into focus as the next generation that is “destroying everything!!!”

But first let’s make everything a family would need to raise a child (let alone 3 or 4) extremely expensive and gut any and all support for the mother and child.

Next complain that it’s avocado toast that is keeping the lazy Millennials from having kids!

Give it time and there will be the option of Gigantic Corp paying for your teeth if you grow their logo on them.

Honestly it wouldn’t be too little to late if the reps in the house and senate grew a spine and pushed back as well. But I think that they have had it too cushy for too long and don’t actually know how to govern.

How do courts and the legal system actually enforce these decisions? I can’t see US Marshalls walking into the White House and handcuffing trump. So what is it that they can do, if anything?

Just the opposite.

With the potential of medical expenses rising, medication costs going up, insurance becoming shittier (if you’ll be able to afford it at all), staying healthy to continue to earn a paycheck (that is a depressing phrase), the potential of wide spread violence, I think its imperative to be as healthy and strong as you can be.

You may also find yourself in a position where you’re the only one you can count on and if you are sickly, and weak then it will make things that much worse. Or you may find yourself in a position to help someone that has less ability to move and you’ll need to be in good health for their sake.

This is a realization that I’ve come to:

that humans survive (and thrive) when there is a genuine organization based in part on empathy. When a human tries to disrupt this organization for their own gain then it’s in the best interest of the group to ostracize and remove that human from the group.

What are the realistic potential outcomes of everything going on?

Not sure. I don’t think anyone really is.

Part of the reason that there are not big protest yet is that many many people that do disagree with the administration have/had been looking towards the Democratic party to fight back. But that isn’t happening which is adding to the shock and awe of things. Truly Americans don’t really know what to do and without a large organizing presence to help drive a big push back there really isn’t anything being done.

I do hope that someone steps up soon and starts to organize a push back. Haven’t seen it yet.

There are a lot of European keyboard warriors that don’t seem to know much about America (other than social media) that keep trying to call out Americans for not “protesting right.”

It shows that they have no clue about the size of the country or the fact that the shock and awe that started this administration knocked everyone on their heels and only now are we starting to mobilize.

I can understand your point of not wanting to travel to the US and you’re correct that there is a high number of people that have a negative view of anyone “different” than them. And I would probably say it’s a good idea not to for the reason you gave and more, but there are many very passionate people that are fighting for the rights of everyone in America, they just don’t get the press so it can be easily interpreted that no one in the US cares.

There are rotten people in power and due to their station they have control of the microphone which makes it sound like that is what everyone thinks. That isn’t true.

I honestly think that both parties like to not be in power for this very reason. All the money and none of the responsibilities. Pretty sweet setup
