This is true, yet no one wants to listen to reality
True. I try to stay anonymous. But that doesn’t work on all social medias. Take Facebook for example, they show all that info in your profile allowing haters to hate
This is true, just like I have an ml account too. But I wouldn’t put past someone to create another account on another instance with efwis and start some shit because I hurt their feelings. So far that hasn’t been an issue but there is a first time. Especially since the username doesn’t show what instance your’re on on the feeds
The only bad part about the fediverse, imho, it’s hard to be the only one with your username. What makes it bad is a malicious user, that you may have pissed off somehow, start using your username in a smear campaign to hurt your reputation.
I have found over the years you can apply a lot of the directions to whatever distro you are using. You just have to do some minor tweaking to the commands. Primarily using the right package manager command for your distro or using distro specific software in place of arch software. I have also found you can use a lot of the AUR programs by searching for said app in your repos.
The problem with the US is even if we had a consumer lobby, which I don’t think we do, we would be overrun by the big corporate lobbies in a matter of seconds.
The only people that get listened to by our government are those who have the big money to control members of congress. We are supposed to have a government for the people by the people but instead we have a government for the rich by the rich.
Those of us that don’t have billions of dollars don’t have a voice, even though they claim to listen, they don’t unless you can line their pockets with a few $100,000 thousand dollars a month.
Our government official don’t care about us, they care about money and how to get more of it.
Or they can use EndeavourOS if vanilla Arch is too complicated. You’ll still have to install things like libreoffice, steam etc. but you don’t have half the learning curve you do with vanilla arch
And probably expensive as hell to boot. Although to be fair as an IDE it does work well. I can code just like I was in an IDE. It literally suits my needs when using python, rust or any other markup language. Even seems to do some autocomplete for me.
I honestly thought they were the same really.
The only stuff I miss is the way dreamweaver worked back in the day where you can see wysiwyg as well as the code. But that was yesteryear where adobe wasn’t as money hungry
i’m not an anti-vaxxer, ut I do refuse to have my DNA modified by a vaccine. Not only that the risks associated with the vaccines for covid are too high for my health. I’ve already had 2 heart attacks, I don’t need a vaccine to increase the risk of another one.
during the pandemic, before the lockdowns were completely lifted, I wore my mask for the sake of others. Not all anti-vaxxers can be lumped into your last comment. Oh and btw, I’ve had covid twice, once before it was even listed as a pandemic, and it did not put me in the hospital, but it did make me feel worse than if I had the flu.
also, on another note, I thought the vaccine was supposed to HELP defeat Covid? Obviously that was a lie. Everytime a new variant comes around, all of a sudden you need another booster shot which has not been “programmed” to help with the new variant. At this point the covid vaccine is nothing more than a cash grab for big pharma.
it’s also a case of micros$ucks wants to completely dominate the market and remove any type of GNU/Linux OS competition. They don’t care about the users, they only care about $$$$$
I did forget to mention that. I don’t like flatpaks and avoid them if possible. Guess you could say I’m a Linux purist lmao
It is code, sorry for the miscommunication. My question on that though is what is the differences between the two? I don’t use micro$uck crap anymore. Haven’t for almost 15 years.
Visual studio is available on Linux as a native app from the AUR and some distros repos, I use VS on my endeavourOS with no problems, other than it has a slight tendency to be slow on launch, but that may be due to hardware age.
Just recently started using it. This is the way it has worked since I started. And that just in the last 2 months
EndeavourOS with KDE
Same systems as vanilla arch for packaging such as pacman and AUR
Archwiki instruction work without modification
Great forum community without the incessant RTFM
It might have something to do with the channel admin, I’m not sure as I don’t run my own matrix channel, I only know that’s how it works for me. Also the only encrypted channel that I see on my matrix account is the dm’s. The regular channels I’m on are not encrypted and it states as much in the text bar where you type
This is wrong. I’m on matrix both on my computer and phone. If I’m not logged in, and conversations are made during that time I can log in and it decrypts all the messages letting you pick up where you left off.
very true, but if you remember correctly a similar thought process killed IE, and is now harming Edge on windows. The only draw back is everyone wants to use chrome, not realizing how much info they are handing out to Google. Many just don’t care, and yet they will gladly complain about privacy on other matters.
You’re welcome
I don’t know about gnome, but on KDE you can disable touch support under settings>mouse & touchpad.
