I don’t have to like it, but it’s sort of a sound strategy. The Red Sea is on the way to the Suez Canal, and the world had a demonstration a few years ago about what happens when you block the Suez canal.

Hamas is a reaction to Israel’s actions of past decades.
Yup! Everything they do is metric.
I was going to guess Rabul. Oops.
I’ve heard the term “stimming” before, and never had a clear answer on what it meant. After taking a look through this thread, I now have yet another thing to add to the list of obvious symptoms I should have seen in myself years ago.
I have a tendency to take things apart, or move whatever moveable pieces are on something. I’ve made little toys/implements to enable this at work so I’m not just taking pens apart.
Protesting is a threat. The problem is, when you don’t get what you want, you’re supoosed to foklow through on that threat.
I recently tried some dual-color silk filament. Half the filament is one color, half is another color. It makes cool looking parts that are different colors on each side.
Interesting how effective a strike is.
One of the most satisfying things for me is driving my wife’s little Mirage in the snow. With normal all season tires it does great, with proper snow tires it’s completely unstoppable - that is, until you need to stop.
It turns out that accelrating and stopping a 2,000 pound car on ice and snow is easier than it is with a 4,000 pound vehicle.
I’m a dirty slut for iced tea, but not the cloyingly sweet stuff that you’ll find in restaraunts. And you’re right it’s much cheaper. A box of 22 gallon-sized tea bags is like $5.
There is a great XKCD that shows comparisons for the amount of sugar in a soda, and it’s wild. A 20 oz coca-cola has as much sugar as three cadbury creme eggs.
Yours too? I swear I lost ten pounds just by drinking water and tea instead of soda.
This. I have a DJI mini 2, and while that isn’t a combat drone used by anyone’s military, it’s pretty much impossible for me to see it at it’s “maximum” altitude of 122 meters and at that height I can get pretty good real-time video. I’m pretty sure it will exceed that altitude limit if I wanted it to, and there’s no way I could see it or hear it at 200 meters. And it would still get me useful video.
I have to assume that the drones being used by the UA are better than my silly little camera drone.
Ooo, that’s good. Also try William Shatner.
I wish I could get my head around programming. I’ve tried learning from books, I’ve tried learning from codecademy, and all I can do is follow the lessons, I don’t understand how I’m supposed to turn all these lines of gibberish into a program that does something. The most common bit of advice I get is “Just make up a project! Find something that you want the computer to do, it’s easy and fun!” And I’m over here like… “OK, how?” It’s like someone pointing to a pile of metal and a welder and saying “Build something!” Sure, someone who knows how to weld can do that, but most people are going to need more information.
And then they will leave for a more idyllic life in the country because it’s so noisy.
I’m pretty sure the large open field behind my house, which used to be full of trees, is going to be turned into another gated neighborhood full of cookie cutter houses. And I just know someone is going to be close to my back yard, and they are going to whine about my wife’s chickens, especially since one of them is a rooster.
So they will piss and moan and try to make us get rid of the rooster. And then they will probably get a small dog that yaps all night.
I’ll also point out that there was an explicit understanding with the west.
Is “The West” the US only?
This. Stop begging the US for money and guns with one side of your mouths while telling us how terrible we are for everything with the other. We are facing some pretty significant issues of our own, and I know that when shit gets bad here, there won’t be a single country anywhere that will help us.
Did they forget that Finland created Simo Heyha?
Doesn’t that list also include Iran?
