Long story that played out over months… Went to the doctors with depressive episode. Got diagnosed burnout. But from what??? So… I dug into researching psychology. Turns out, I inherited the family 'tism and could trace anecdotal evidence back 4 generations. Nobody ever bothered to investigate before. Presented my findings to my therapist and her reaction after listening to it all was (paraphrasing) “You didn’t KNOW?”.

So, yeah… No ‘officially on paper’ official diagnosis yet. I don’t plan on getting one, because it turns out, the main cause of my problems isn’t Autism, it’s ADHD on top (that one got official a few months later), but now I am doing better with that under control and unlearning all the masking I did.

I don’t think I have strong preferences for any specific part.

I just hope he got all the papers he needed before that and a new job in the bag, because doing this without either of these conditions fulfilled can haunt you later.

Well, the 6th of May was probably okay in Germany. The news must have impacted on the 7th and I imagine that day was rather unpleasant for those within earshot of a certain bad-tempered dictator.

yeaa… I’m guilty of that sometimes, but usually it’s because I prefer reacting to the literal interpretation with another pun over having to stress about giving a quick, serious and polite answer to the intended meaning - basically I am stalling for time to think about it.

I looked and the common pattern I see is that conservative parties are actually several smaller parties stacked in a trenchcoat, pretending to have a common direction, but too scared of adressing inner conflict. They still hope they can continue to uphold a facade of unity by pandering to the rightwingers.

It’s not very effective. But I see that as a result of group-psychology and basic human incompetence, not as explicitly agreeing with fascist values.

That… is a very skewed way of looking at reality.
