There is no “our guys” in current Russia. Russia is a hierarchy of dictators. In these settings, everyone is your friend and enemy at the same time.
Russia is a wild place. Its obviously huge and filled with many different ethic groups in isolated regions. There are 80+ “states”/ territories and they vary greatly in their association with the Federation. A soldier conscripted from Dagestan or Chechnya probably doesn’t identify as a Russian first.

Ukraine’s goal is to liberate Ukraine, what the Russians choose to do to each other within Russia is of understandably lesser concern right now.
What happens to the russian nuclear stock pile happens to all of us.
Maybe we could offer Russia a treaty, perhaps a memorandum of some sort, wherein we promise to respect their territorial integrity if they’ll hand their nuclear arsenal over to Ukraine for safekeeping.
Hope this is the beginning of the end of the russian federation.
