Your kid might be trans and hiding that fact to protect themselves just like I did. The only way you can find out for sure is to convince your child that they can come out to you without risking your disapproval.

If those cultures can recognize the complexity and ambiguity of gender centuries before the scientific method was developed, then obviously we can trust science when it says that gender isn’t a simple either-or proposition.
