A Cybertruck owner is celebrating the fact that Tesla sold him a defective truck. He can now avoid all the depreciation by returning the vehicle to Tesla at full price. However, he’ll be using the money to buy another Cybertruck for $30,000 less.

His business is wrapping vehicles, and he says he’s already wrapped quite a few of them, so at least part of the reason he has one seems to be marketing his business.

There was word going around late last year about how the Cybertruck doesn’t have a protective coating on the body so the adhesive from vinyl wraps oxidizes and permanently messes up the finish of the stainless steel, which is extremely noticeable when the wrap comes off.

I’d have believed you after the first source though

Yeah, I just noticed that some of these aren’t actual “news” sources, so I added a couple of others that seem to corroborate each other. It’s important to get a varied perspective when the source is new to you or doesn’t have established credibility.

I’ll say this about the cyberfuck; flat surfaces are super easy to apply vinyl to.

FWIW most of those surfaces are not truly flat, though - they still have a bit of curvature to them.
