Link to the regime’s new order (EO 14249)
Quotes from the source
(ii) For purposes of subsection (a) of this section, “documentary proof of United States citizenship” shall include a copy of: (A) a United States passport; (B) an identification document compliant with the requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-13, Div. B) that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States; © an official military identification card that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States; or (D) a valid Federal or State government-issued photo identification if such identification indicates that the applicant is a United States citizen or if such identification is otherwise accompanied by proof of United States citizenship.
the Secretary of Homeland Security shall, consistent with applicable law, ensure that State and local officials have, without the requirement of the payment of a fee, access to appropriate systems for verifying the citizenship or immigration status of individuals registering to vote or who are already registered;
the Department of Homeland Security, in coordination with the DOGE Administrator, shall review each State’s publicly available voter registration list and available records concerning voter list maintenance activities as required by 52 U.S.C. 20507, alongside Federal immigration databases and State records requested, including through subpoena where necessary and authorized by law, for consistency with Federal requirements.
The Attorney General shall take all necessary action to enforce 2 U.S.C. 7 and 3 U.S.C. 1 against States that violate these provisions by including absentee or mail-in ballots received after Election Day in the final tabulation of votes for the appointment of Presidential electors and the election of members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives.
Possible Outcomes
- Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will have total oversight and control of elections and its results. DOGE will not be subject to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests.
- Registered democratic party members and millions of other citizens will be deleted from voter registrations. Re-registration will not be with the state, but will be implemented under regime control via DOGE and with frequently changing requirements especially just before elections take place.
- Voters will need to ensure they have a valid US passport which is good for at least 1 year before the next time they plan to vote. Consider that this regime will probably make it difficult to renew passports. Also note that while a passport is in the process of being renewed, it will not be accessible.
- Transgender people will have a hard time figuring out how to vote as they wont be given passports that matches their state identity.
- Voters should consider getting a secondary pre-approved document that plainly states citizenship status. However, expect the list of pre-approved documents to change just before elections take place to remove as many legally eligible voters from the democratic process as possible.
- Expect the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) & Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be at polling stations to intimidate, delay, and racially profile voters. Expect further challenges to mail in ballots which enforce in person voting the day of. Arrests and deportations may be weaponized at the voting booth as well, make sure to bring all the documents that one would bring to an immigration office to prove legal status.
- Considering that all votes must now be counted on election day, expect to see major delays and interventions deliberately implemented in heavily democratic voting areas.
- If a state fails to meet the tabulation deadline (election day), that state’s votes simply wont be counted. The states most likely to experience delays are the states that also have the highest population densities, coincidentally, these are states that are more likely to vote for the democratic party.
When fascists attempt to kill democracy, those who support democracy need to act in kind toward the fascists.
It’s going to take a long time for Americans to understand and accept what they actually need to do to protect it and by then, the cost may be more than they are willing to pay.
Americans are unwilling to pay any cost that actually requires them to do something, on average at least. Some of us though are willing to start preparing ourselves for what must be done.
… military resistance against dictatorships does not strike them where they are weakest, but rather where they are strongest. By choosing to compete in the areas of military forces, supplies of ammunition, weapons technology, and the like, resistance movements tend to put themselves at a distinct disadvantage. Dictatorships will almost always be able to muster superior resources in these areas.
From Dictatorship to Democracy (Gene Sharp)
While I agree with the sentiment, I think the point above illustrates why we must understand how we will resist.
“Pacifism is objectively pro-fascist. This is elementary common sense. If you hamper the war effort of one side, you automatically help out that of the other. Nor is there any real way of remaining outside such a war as the present one. In practice, ‘he that is not with me is against me’.” ― George Orwell Violence is necessary.
Non violent resistance is not the same as apathy or acceptance. It is also a proven method for change and removing violent regimes. Not because the people in power have a change of heart but because the people that enforce their power do.
You can always try reading the book for yourself. I just started it.

I also have a proven method of change, the same we used against the Nazis, the same we will use again and again until there are No More Nazis.
Interesting quote sick whose who refuse to fight until it’s too late end up trapped in situations where their only method of fighting is non-violent resistance. They literally slide into it because it’s the only form of resistance they are comfortable with. In order to resist a dictatorship, they need to become part of it, and letting it happen accomplishes that goal. It’s weirdly circular. Or I’m more high than I think.
Non violent resistance is simply about reducing the death and bloodshed of the resisters. It is not acceptance or compliance.
It’s going to depend on the situation what type of resistance is required. However, unless the resistance has on its side a trained military that can overpower or outwit the regime’s abundant military force. How will it effectively end that regime through violence? If guerrilla warfare is used then narratives can be used to gain support for the regime, both domestically and internationally.
Non violent resistance gives us another path to democracy. Also, it avoids the power struggle that sometimes occurs when a regime is defeated by violent means.
If you can’t vote then you don’t pay taxes. Our ancestors started a war about NO taxation without representation.
Oh no, no, you can vote, just make it through the American Ninja Warrior of voting bureaucracy, easy! Also taxation without representation doesn’t necessarily mean you voted for your representative, only that there is someone who represents you. When a dem or repub is votes it o office, they represent their district, not just their voters. Not functionally, of course, symbolically and that’s legally good enough.
Several Republican state congressmen have filled a lawsuit against the ‘new’ voting laws in Michigan. Due to a public initiative, we have universal registration, no-excuse absentee voting, and a non-partisan redistricting committee to draw congressional districts.
Republicans are mad about all those things, and are arguing that the public initiative took away the state legislature’s sole right to make election laws.
