If people are interested, have a go, and post in this thread. You’ll might want to be roughly the shape of this banner from lemmy.world, or this one from monyet.cc. and should try to make it work on both light and dark mode.

Collages are also cool, try to keep any photos free-to-use.

Bonus points if it involves crayons.

    I think we need some humour for the banner. We are known worldwide for our comedy. Be it are sarcasm, and toilet humour. Comedians like Monty Phython, Austin Powers, Mr Bean, Alan Partridge, etc… Plus, we as a nation don’t take ourselves too serious. Being self-deprecating is a common trait.

    Otherwise, some twat in a bowler hat, drinking tea, smoking a pipe, with bad teeth would do. We can all pretend that the person in the banner is the mod, and creator of this place. So in years to come, when newbies turn up, we can spin some yarn about the person in the banner being the creator, and how they invented Feddit with nothing but pure stubbornness and apologies.
