Thousands of people logged complaints about problems accessing Twitter on Saturday after owner Elon Musk limited most users to viewing 600 tweets a day -- restrictions he described as an attempt to prevent unauthorized scraping of potentially valuable data from the site.
This is fundamentally a self-inflicted wound because twitter’s chief source of revenue is advertisement. Limiting the number of tweets its userbase may view, severely restricts Twitter from precious revenue accrual. And Elon Musk was somebody that used to be heralded as an intelligent and savvy person!? It turns out he accorded a lot of deferential respect solely based on his net worth.
